About
Meet our pastor
Pastor Elizabeth Jacob
I was born and raised in a devout Christian home in Bangalore, India. When my father turned fifty-eight, he took early retirement and was ordained as a pastor. He ministered among Hindu and Muslim communities in India, leading many to Christ. My father passed away at the age of sixty-five, and my mother assumed the pastoral duties of the church he had planted. She continues to minister among Hindus and Muslims, demonstrating unwavering faith despite the sudden loss of two of her three children. Her life exemplifies steadfast service to the Lord.
My two older brothers owned travel agencies and dedicated their lives to guiding people on pilgrimages to the Holy Land, Turkey, Egypt, and Rome. Their goal was to help people understand and appreciate the origins and development of the Christian faith. Tragically, both brothers recently passed away under sudden and unexpected circumstances. This profound loss has only strengthened my faith and deepened my commitment to serve the Lord wholeheartedly.
My mother was my first Sunday School teacher, and it was through her instruction that I committed my life to Jesus as a teenager. I initially aspired to be a missionary in Africa, but God had other plans. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in commerce, I was selected to work for Aptech, the Indian chapter of Apple Computers. Despite holding high positions in these well-paying jobs, I felt a compelling inner call to dedicate my life entirely to God's ministry.
God has always been timely in my life. He called me at the right moment and brought mentors who trained and sharpened my ministry skills. I have worked among various people groups, leading them to the Lord and helping them grow in their faith. I also trained many young people to become servant leaders, initiating Sunday School and Youth Fellowship programs in my church. In 1999, God brought Dr. Wesley Jacob into my life. For the past ten years, I have served as a pastor with the Wisconsin Annual Conference and for one year with the Susquehanna Conference in Pennsylvania.
My family includes my daughter, Prarthana Charis Jacob, who is studying Neuropsychology at UW-La Crosse. I am pursuing a Master's in Biblical Studies at the Southern California Seminary and am currently enrolled in the Course of Study at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. I plan to transfer my credits to pursue ordination as an Elder.
I enjoy reading and sharing God's Word, traveling globally, and hosting gatherings featuring delicious Indian cuisine. Our family enjoys playful banter, and we have a small black Yorkie Poodle named Obadiah (Obi). In all these endeavors, I have witnessed the truth of Hebrews 13:5: "God has never left me, nor has He forsaken me".
